GREETINGS FROM THE OSCC PRESIDENT

Thank you for visiting the Oregon State Council of Chapters Military Officers Association of America Website. As of January 2011, our association numbers eight chapters located from the borders of the State of Washington to the State of California and from the Pacific Ocean to the State of Idaho.
MOAA is the nation's largest and most influential association of military officers. It is an independent, nonprofit, politically nonpartisan organization. With about 370,000 members from every branch of service - including active duty, National Guard, Reserve, retired, former officers, and their families - we are a powerful force speaking for a strong national defense and representing the interests of military officers at every stage of their careers. MOAA's highest priority is in taking care of our membership.
Our chapters are involved in many activities that foster support for the military and encourage stronger relationships between the services and the civilian communities of Oregon. These activities include supporting Junior ROTC and ROTC units with medals, scholarships, and branch insignia. They also include support of our deployed Troops and their families, and the recognition and honor of service veterans from past conflicts.
If you are a current or former Active Duty, National Guard, Reserve, Retired, or former Military Officer who is interested in associating with fellow military officers, the chapter is the place for you. Chapters strive to maintain and improve the benefits to which you are entitled. If you are interested in serving your local communities as a military Veteran, MOAA chapter membership would be a natural fit. Accomplishing the mission in units and teams is what we have been about as Service Members, and it is certainly what MOAA chapters are all about as well.
I look forward to meeting you and with your elected officers will continue the work of sustaining our chapters, pursuing matters of Veterans’ interest, and supporting our Veterans and their Families.
Sincerely,
BG (Ret) Norm Hoffman
